Day 9- Disneyland!

Day 9: Disneyland!

Hey y’all this is your fav and fab Sleepys!
Welcome to the most magical place on Earth, or shall I say a slightly smaller version! Welcome to Disneyland!
We woke up bright and early at 7:30 o’clock, with Dallas and KS blasting Disney music; as glorious as that may sound, it isn’t at 7:30. We rushed and got on the bus at 8:00, with our hearts ready to spend the day at Disney. Breakfast consisted of bagels and various flavors of cream cheese, with different types of fruits (one of the packs of cream cheese got left out all day! Oops!)
After a short 30-minute drive, we made it to Disney. We made into the park and took a group photo by the Disneyland entrance. Turns out it is Disneyland’s 67th birthday, the same year our fabulous bus driver was born! We blew through groups of Disney fanatics to go to Space Mountain (Grace was so scared!). We rode it as a group and it was Caroline’s first rollercoaster. Caroline was a little shaken up after. After Space Mountain, we went to Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. On this ride, we were able to shoot different targets and compete against each other. After the two rides, Gilbert gave his research of Disneyland! Some people decided to split up and go with the counselors to ride the Indiana Jones ride, while some went with smaller groups to explore and ride different rides. Throughout the park we got to see so many characters like Moana, Stitch, Chewbacca, Mickey, Goofy, and more! It was national ice-cream day today! So many people got Dole Whip and Mickey bars to celebrate! Everyone loved the Star Wars rides, especially Rise of the Resistance…until it got shut down. Splash Mountain was also a fan favorite, but that ride got shut down as well. Sally wants to announce that she loved the It’s a Small World ride and how it was the highlight of her life. There was a character parade during the day, which many attended as well. Everyone got lunch and dinner on their own, which included the Red Rose Tavern, the Golden Horseshoe, Panera, McDonalds, and smaller snack carts where people ate churros, funnel cakes, pickles, and more.
As the day came to a close, we all met at the bus around 8:30. The counselors were SO impressed that everyone was on time or before! On our bus ride home, many people shared their funny stories from their day in Disneyland. Addison was yelled at by a 7 year old on a Star Wars ride. Someone…broke the Indiana Jones ride. Dallas had an interesting interaction with Aladdin. We arrived back at our campsite for an early night in after our long day in Disneyland.

See ya real soon!
